MY NAME IS MOLLY
I grew up on a farm in Central Illinois where my sisters and I snapped garden-fresh green beans before supper every night, walked soybean fields in the summer, and caught buckets full of crawdads in the nearby creek. Growing up on a farm in rural Illinois, the whole world was magic. We ruled a kingdom of barn cats and butterflies, and every adventure was a story.
I still believe there is a lot of magic in the Midwest-- if you just know where to look!
LIFE AND WORK
During the day I work for an amazing organization called Illinois Stewardship Alliance that brings farmers and eaters together to solve problems through policy change. We help people acoss Illinois collectively use their voices to support local food and advocate for a more just and regenenartive world.

My work takes me to fields and farms and hidden gems across the state to talk with folks who are stewarding their land and communities with love. They inspire me to love my own community in the same way too.

Today I'm proud to call Lincoln, IL my hometown. My husband and I are making a cozy home here, raising backyard chickens, and growing the biggest garden we can grow. We're expecting our first child on Valentine's Day of 2023.

So much of my art is inspired by the often unassuming and underrecognized people, places, wildlife, and small towns that make up this land that I love, and then sprinkled with a little bit of the magic I know is there.
